Cycling from Štanjel to Dutovlje takes 2,5h. You can decide how long you wish to cycle because you will be accompanied with a minivan all the time
First you will meet up with the guide in our Mamut office in Bled or Ljubljana at a set time. You will jump in the minivan and drive to the Karst which is covered in Tera Rossa, and the crucial part of this story the wine cellars, which charm everyone.
The cycling takes place along an asphalt road through the picturesque Karst villages, beautiful vineyards surrounded by stone fences, which protect the settlement and the fields from the powerful Karst bora wind, then onwards through the rare Karst forest.
The cycling is not too long, so you can easily interact with nature, paintings and intermittent stops between places, and in total peace you can cheer with friendly hosts and enjoy the crazed air and the temperatures of Karst land.
At the end of the cycling we will have lunch, take a look at a typical Karst house and hear the story of Pepa (a typical female from Karst).
And finally visit the best local winemakers who will show us their wine cellars and give us their best wines for taste.
For the end of the excursion, we will take you to the Škocjan Caves where we will see one of the most beautiful European caves.
