We spend the whole tour on the bikes, but we stop often. E-bikes are suggested.
First you will meet up with the guide in our Mamut office in Bled or Ljubljana at a set time.
We will fit the bikes and the equipment and when we’re ready to go, we’ll stop first at the city center at the Bled lake. The guide will give you a quick presentation of Bled and beginning of tourism here at the Arnold rikli’s mansion. Next we’ll stop at the Vila Zlatorog, which is owned by the Triglav national park and the guide will tell you a tale of the gold-horn goat (zlatorog). Then we’ll proceed to the docks at the olympic rowing center so you can see where our gold medalists trained for their achievements. Going further to the camping site where we can usually meet the magnificient swans, if we’re lucky. Only a short ride away we’ll reach the starting point for Mala Osojnica. At this point we’ll lock up the bikes and proceed hiking up on foot, as it’s much safer. It’s only a 20 minute walk and it’s so worth the efford, as the view is stunning. Next we’ll see the Tito’s mansion, the leader of ex-yugoslavia. At the largest port for the traditional pletna boats we’ll hear all about the Pletnar’s (the rowers) and how this tradition is kept. We’ll proceed the ride through the villages and we’ll stop to check the view of the Babji zob (the grandma’s tooth) and a tale of the evil witch that used to live in the cave there. Cycling further via a small village of Ribno until we reach Sava river, where we’ll cycle next to the river until we reach medival town of Radovljica. We’ll stop at the viewpoint to get some orientation, then we’ll go inside the old town. We’ll stop at Lectar museum/coffe shop/restaurant, where we’ll make a pitstop to recharge, have a handpicked tea or a homemade stew in the most slovenian place. Here’s where all the culture is gathered in one spot, you absolutely will love it. When we’re ready we’ll cycle back to Bled via the town of Radovljica and lesce, on the cycling path back to Bled where we finish the tour at our office.
