During Winter Mountaineering in Slovenia you will discover the most beautiful spots of Slovenian mountains and experience the beauty of Kamnik –Savinja Alps and Julian Alps.

TRIGLAV – Winter Ascent

Nestled in the heart of the Julian Alps, Mount Triglav is undoubtedly the most beloved peak in Slovenia. Not only is it the highest peak in the country, at a height of 2864 m, but it’s also a powerful national symbol. It’s such a trace of identity that it is said that every “true” Slovenian should stand on the summit of Mount Triglav at least once in their life.

When Winter Mountaineering in Slovenia hike to Triglav is a must. Available all year long guided Triglav Winter Ascent starts from Krma valley and lasts the whole day. In order to do Winter Triglav Ascent you have to be super fit. Hike will be guided by IFMGA mountain guide, which gives you more safety.

After check-in in our office Mamut office situated right by the main Bus Station in Bled you will meet with the guide and drive to the starting point for the climb in Krma valley. The program will vary on the weather conditions. We will choose the best time to climb to the top of Triglav, that will be either first day afternoon or second day morning. You will sleep at Triglavski dom, the highest hut in Slovenia. There is around 2000 meters of ascent and descent on the way. The time of departure and return may vary on weather conditions a bit, but it will stay somewhere between this hours.
