It is built on peninsula surrounded by the Adriatic on three sides and also contains many beautiful historic buildings, both from the period of Venetian. Take a walk along the seaside through its narrow medieval streets, look around, visit the churches and the main square named after Giuseppe Tartini, a famous violinist and a composer born in Piran.
Koper is largest Slovenian seaside town. Your first impression may be underwhelming as you see the port and all the industrial areas on the outskirts. But Koper’s central core is hidden gem with its delightfully medieval building.

Mamut picked us up at 8am. Visited Piran, Salt pans, Koper, Hrastovlje and castle/viewpoint Socerb.
All fantastic. But it was our tour guide, Mato who made this trip so memorable. His wide knowledge made this trip so much more rewarding. I strongly recommend Mamut Slovenia.
