Itinerary

Stop 1Bled

Enchanted Winter- North Triglav Tales begins in Bled  or any other arranged location.

Stop 2Kranjska Gora

Our first stop is Kranjska Gora, a magical alpine town straight out of a winter fairytale! Fun fact: Kranjska Gora is one of Slovenia’s top ski resorts, hosting international alpine skiing competitions for decades, while its charming Alpine architecture and festive winter decorations make it feel truly enchanting.

We will wander through the snow-dusted town center, explore the cozy Alpine Village with its glowing wooden chalets and festive treats, and discover the Peace Park, where history comes alive with stories of the Vršič Pass. We will enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic snow-capped peaks Jalovec and Prisojnik, creating the perfect winter backdrop for our adventure.

Stop 3Jezero Jasna

Our next stop is Lake Jasna, a stunning alpine lake known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking winter scenery. Lake Jasna consists of two interconnected lakes, and according to local legend, it is home to the mythical Golden Horn (Zlatorog) chamois, a symbol of the Julian Alps.

We will take a short circular walk around the lake, enjoy panoramic views of the snow-covered peaks of the Julian Alps, and capture photos at the famous statue of Zlatorog. This serene and picturesque spot offers the perfect combination of nature, legend, and unforgettable winter scenery.

Stop 4 Zelenci

Next stop is Zelenci, a magical natural reserve famous for its crystal-clear emerald springs and vibrant turquoise streams. The name “Zelenci” comes from the Slovene word for green, referring to the striking green-blue color of the water, and it is the source of the Sava Dolinka River, one of Slovenia’s main rivers.

We will walk along the well-maintained educational trail, discover the main spring and its mesmerizing turquoise waters, and visit the observation deck overlooking the sparkling Sava Dolinka springs. This spot is perfect for families and nature lovers, offering a peaceful winter escape and countless photo opportunities in a pristine alpine setting.

Stop 5Planica Nordic Centre

Planica the legendary “Valley of Winter Sports” and a world-famous symbol of Slovenian ski jumping and Nordic skiing, is our next stop. Planica is home to the largest ski flying hill in the world, where numerous world records have been set.

We will visit the modern Nordic Centre, where we can explore interactive exhibits and learn about the history of ski jumping and Nordic skiing in Slovenia. From the centre, we will enjoy panoramic views of the impressive ski jumps and the iconic ski flying hill rising above the valley.

Stop 6Tamar Valley - cross country skiing or snowshoeing

After exploring the centre, we will walk toward the entrance of the Tamar Valley, where we will enjoy winter activities such as cross country skiing or snowshoeing. The trail is approximately 3 km long, making it ideal for families, beginners, and anyone seeking a calm and scenic winter adventure. We will snowshoe or sled to a beautiful viewpoint and rest area, offering stunning alpine scenery without needing to reach the distant mountain hut.

Stop 7Mojstrana

Mojstrana, a peaceful alpine village that serves as the gateway to the stunning Vrata Valley. From here, we will make a short and scenic winter visit to one of Slovenia’s most impressive natural wonders.

Stop 8Peričnik Waterfall

We will drive into the Vrata Valley and stop at the first viewpoint, where the lower Peričnik Waterfall can often be admired during winter.

There we will enjoy a fantastic winter “wow moment”; shimmering icy formations, partially frozen cascades, dramatic contrasts of white snow and deep green forest and perfect angles for photography.

Peričnik is one of Slovenia’s highest waterfalls and gets its name from the verb “to spray”, because the falling water creates a fine mist that forms spectacular ice shapes throughout winter.

Stop 9Ice Kingdom Mojstrana

After visiting Peričnik Waterfall, we return to Mojstrana to explore the Ice Kingdom—a magical winter park filled with illuminated ice sculptures, arches, fountains, and a stunning ice throne.

The Ice Kingdom is rebuilt every winter, making each visit a unique experience. Guests can wander among intricate sculptures, including frozen mills, a sparkling ice mine, and delicate floral and arch designs. The majestic ice throne invites visitors to sit for unforgettable photos, while LED lights create a dreamy, fairytale-like atmosphere. Every corner is interactive and photo-friendly, making it perfect for families, couples, and photographers. The park is inspired by classic winter fairy tales, creating a magical “storybook” atmosphere.

With its combination of grand ice sculptures, magical lighting, and whimsical details, the Ice Kingdom promises a truly memorable “wow” experience.
